Description
Azithromycin is currently included in many South African standard treatment guidelines, including for the treatment of bacterial infections in penicillin-allergic patients, for rickettsial infections in patients unable to take tetracyclines, and specifically for the management of atypical bacterial infections, including nosocomial pneumonia.
