Abstract
Description
Colchicine, an oral anti-inflammatory drug used to treat gout, has been proposed as a potential treatment for COVID-19.Its mechanisms of action include inhibition of neutrophil and monocyte recruitment, and inhibition of proinflammatory cytokines, both of which are thought to be important mediators of COVID-19 disease severity.
